Two siblings with bilateral retinoblastoma are presented, both of whom subsequently developed osteogenic sarcoma of the femur. The general concept of gene‐induced oncogenesis is discussed, and it is suggested that both patients with familial retinoblastomas and their first‐degree relatives might be at increased risk for other tumors at sites distant from the ocular area.
