Extracutaneous involvement has been recognized as a major cause of death in mycosis fungoides. Clinical data suggest that in certain types of mycosis fungoides, patients who present with benign changes in lymph nodes, such as dermatopathic lymphadenitis, are at high risk of later development of lymph node involvement with disease. It seems, therefore, important to identify these conditions as well as true involvement with lymphoma, in all lymph node bearing areas at risk. Lymphography was performed in 28 patients with various stages of mycosis fungoides. The radiographic findings and the correlation with lymphadenopathy and histologic findings in other lymph node bearing areas are described. Lymphography in mycosis fungoides is capable of identifying abnormalities in para‐aortic and iliac lymph nodes.
