Adenocarcinomas of the colon were chemically induced with 1,2‐dimethylhydrazine in 6 of 10 inbred Buffalo strain male rats. The tumor has been successfully transplanted by intraperitoneal and/or subcutaneous inoculations through five successive passages with preservation of the original histologic appearance.
