Two cases of widespread malignant fibrous histiocytoma documented at autopsy are presented. These two cases were diagnosed as malignant fibrous histiocytoma, using histologic criteria at biopsy, and confirmed as malignant by the finding of widespread metastases. Discussion is given to the growing evidence for this entity (malignant fibrous histiocytoma), and to the occurrence of meta‐static disease in other reports. Clinical parameters of patients with this tumor are presented.
