A mesodermal mixed tumor of the uterus was studied by both light and electron microscopy. The tumor consisted primarily of pleomorphic rhabdomyoblasts and a few malignant glandular elements. Ultrastructurally, the stages in the development of differentiated myoblasts from more primitive mesenchymal cells were demonstrated. The cytologic picture and histogenesis are discussed briefly.
