A distinctive gonadal neoplasm composed of germ cells and sex cord stroma derivatives (primitive Sertoli and granulosa cells) intimately mixed together throughout, forming a cord‐like, or trabecular pattern is described. In addition to these two components, groups of theca‐lutein, or Leydig‐like cells were seen in places within the stroma separating the cords of tumor cells. There were no calcific concretions and no hyaline‐bodies resembling Call‐Exner bodies. The tumor exhibited active proliferation of germ cells and sex cord derivatives, and showed similar appearances throughout. There was no overgrowth of the tumor by the germ cells forming a dysgerminoma. The patient, a normal 10‐year‐old girl, did not show any evidence of endocrine abnormalities, was chromatin positive, and had normal 46 XX karyotype. The tumor was excised, and the patient is well and free of recurrence 9 months after the operation.
