Three of five children with bilateral Wilms' tumor are alive and free of evidence of disease 21/2, 7, and 9 years from the time of their original diagnosis. One child (9‐year survival) had metastasis to five different anatomic sites. The prognosis for bilateral Wilms' tumor is guarded, but aggressive multimodal therapy may improve survival in these children.
