The California Tumor Registry provided data on 349 Caucasian women with a malignancy of a salivary gland to corroborate the reported increased risk of such patients for subsequent breast cancer. The number of breast cancers found was twice the number expected. A previously reported eightfold risk would seem to be an overestimate.
