Daunomycin, used singly, was administered in several different dosage schedules to 21 children with metastatic or progressive soft tissue sarcoma. Objective tumor regressions occurred in 4 patients (two with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma, one with leiomyosarcoma, and one with unclassified sarcoma). A mixed response was noted in one other child with leiomyosarcoma.
