A single case report of basal cell adenoma of the parotid gland is presented. Except for documentation by European authors, the tumor is comparatively unknown as evidenced by a review of the American literature. The basal cell adenoma is a benign epithelial tumor predominantly of the parotid gland that has distinctive gross and microscopic features entitling it to a separate classification apart from “mixed tumors”.
