This report of a 47‐year‐old man documents gastritis cystica polyposa which occurred at a gastroenteric anastomosis, at least 18 years after surgery for peptic ulcer disease. The lesion produced clinical symptoms of obstruction by its large size and prolapse through the anastomosis. It was histologically microcystic and infiltrative, but benign cytologically, and did not recur within 5 years of resection. Similarities to the infiltrative reactive lesion of colon, colitis cystic profunda, are noted.
