The Radium Center in Copenhagen carried out a retrospective study of patients with a combined diagnosis of cancer colli uteri and pregnancy, referred to the Center from 1939 to 1969. A control series was established of patients with cervical carcinoma who were not pregnant, referred to the Center from 1940 to 1963. There was regular follow‐up of all patients from the time the diagnosis of cancer was made. The stages of cancer, the month of pregnancy, and the different methods of treatment are discussed here, together with the complications that may influence the prognosis. The results, in terms of both cancer and pregnancy, are reviewed, and recommendations made for preferred treatment, from both the obstetric and radiologic points of view. Findings indicate that pregnancy did not materially affect the dissemination of cancer in this group of patients.
