An electron microscopic study of cells found in Letterer‐Siwe disease is presented. in addition to Langerhans cell granules, a variety of atypical granules were studied. Moreover, we observed these atypical granules only in Kupffer's cells of the liver where histiocytes cannot be found. It is suggested that these atypical granules are transitional forms or pre‐Langerhans cell granules. Langerhans cell granules were also seen in the extracellular space, indicative of one kind of exocytosis.
