A review of the literature concerning involvement of squamous epithelium of the cervix, vagina, vulva, and perianal skin in multicentric malignancy is presented. Three recent articles and our present report support the remarkably high incidence of separate cervical squamous malignancy in vulvar cancer patients. Fifteen new cases of involvement of both cervix and vulva by squamous malignancy are reported, and temporal multicentricity, as well as spatial multicentricity, is discussed. Close follow‐up of patients treated for squamous carcinoma of the genital tract must emphasize inspection for new lesions. New cancers will be cured far more frequently than will recurrent cancer.
