Two cases of an unusual plemomorphic spindle‐cell form of carcinoma of the gallbladder are described. These neoplasms are probably identical to many previously reported as sarcomas. They generally occur in older women with associated cholelithiasis. Their microscopic features include extensive roundto‐spindle cell proliferation without stromal differentation and areas of differentiated adenocarcinoma which may be obscured by the great bulk of anaplastic tumor.
