In 50 cases of testicular tumor, preoperative foot lymphography was successful in detecting retroperitoneal lymph node metastases in two‐thirds of the patients. In 3 cases, lymphatic deformity at/or above the second lumbar vertebrae correlated with the surgical findings of inoperability. Of 10 cases that were falsely negative, all proved to have resectable lesions despite die fact that 4 patients had obvious nodal involvement found at exploration. Lymphography appeared useful in determining the extent of retroperitoneal disease and in evaluating adequacy of lymphadenectomy done at our hospital or elsewhere.
