A method of determining lymph drainage pathways following intrathyroid injection of radio‐iodinated Lipiodol Ultra Fluid is reported in 17 dogs. The activity recorded from cervical nodes which did not opacify on roentgenogram was consistently low and probably not significant when compared with the activity of control nodes taken from the groin of mesentery. On the other hand, opacified nodes demonstrated a high activity. This stromhly suggests that the technique of radiography is accurate in determining major lymph drainage pathways following intrathyroid injection of contrast media. Nodes which do not opacify are probably not important in an overall consideration of routes of lymph drainge from the gland.
