A 14‐year follow‐up is presented of a patient with hemangioendothelioma of the clavicle and scapula successfully treated with radiation alone. Although the majority of authors favor surgery as the treatment of choice, the role of radiation has not been adequately evaluated because of the limited experience with this particular neoplasm. In lesions where mutilating surgery is involved, it seems advisable to try a preliminary course of intensive radiation therapy (especially if the tumor shows a marked tendency toward vasoformation).
