A patient with systemic lupus erythematosus is described in whom clinical and serologic evidence for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) disappeared during the development of Hodgkin's disease. Available evidence suggests that the two diseases are associated more frequently than expected by chance alone. It is likely that this association, if real, will be encountered more frequently as the survival of patients with SLE and other autosensitive diseases continues to improve.
