A case is reported in which a leiomyosarcoma of low grade malignancy occupied the entire lumen of the inferior vena cava, right atrium, right ventricle and pulmonary artery, causing death by central venous obstruction. This tumor, histologically similar to the uterine leiomyomata which had been removed with hysterectomy 5 years previously, may have originated as intravenous leiomyomatosis.
