Rodent lungs have been inoculated with tumor cell suspensions from various sources by a previously described “intra‐oral” technique. The technique is simple and rapid and has yielded a high incidence of bronchogenic and alveogenic pulmonary tumors. The reproducibility of this technique would allow its use in providing a model for evaluating the effects of chemotherapy on malignant neoplasms of the air passages of the lung.
