Metastasis to bone from carcinoma of the thyroid was noted in 33 (12.7%) of 259 patients referred to the Nuclear Medicine Section of the University of California Medical Center, San Francisco from 1945 through 1964. Data are presented on these 33 patients in regard to (a) sex, (b) histologic type of primary lesion, (c) age of patient, (d) time between diagnosis and known bone metastasis, (e) bone sites involved and (f) survival from the time that metastasis was diagnosed.
