A combination of temperature‐induced forming (TIF) and rapid tooling is a successful new route for near‐net shape forming of advanced ceramics. This novel forming method has several advantages, such as rapidly produced complex‐shaped ceramic parts, a more homogeneous density distribution of the green body, and more reliable mechanical properties than conventional pressing technologies offer. This new technique offers the opportunity to largely shorten the time to market for the production of complex‐shaped prototypes with rapid tooling.
