In order to expand the range of application of polymer‐based materials, it is necessary to modify the bulk polymers chemically. These modifications which, up to now, have been carried out in solution or in dispersed form still have drawbacks. Only few systematic investigations of alternative mechanochemically‐induced polymer modifications and solid polymerizations are known. In this paper, a vibratory mill is presented which serves as a reactor for processing solids and solid‐liquid mixtures.
