Because incoherent eximer lamps can be used as radiation sources with outward or inward directed radiation geometry, they can be used for photochemical process in immersion well reactors or flow‐through reactors. The authors compare Xe 2 * and KrCl* eximer sources with a medium pressure mercury lamp in the photochemical water treatment with and without supplemental oxidizing agents.
