To optimize the processing of reactive adhesives, the basic rheological characteristics viscosity, plasticity, and elasticity must be known. The viscosity influences the coating velocity and the spreadability on the surface. Plasticity gives information about the flow of the adhesive out of the adhesive joint and stringing when applying the adhesive. During the curing of cross‐link forming adhesives, a transition from the liquid to the solid state takes place.
