The Au‐Mo heteropolyanion film modified electrode has been prepared by electrochemical deposition. The modified electrode is characterized with an electrochemical method. Three couples of reversible redox peaks of surface wave are observed which correspond to reduction and oxidation through two‐, four‐ and six‐electron process, respectively, in the range of +0.7 V–0 V in 2.0 mol/L HCl. Under this condition, the modified electrode displays a strong catalytic activity towards the reduction of NO 2 − and Fe 3+ .
