Mesogenic composites, consisting of low‐molar‐mass liquid crystals, polymers, and photoconductive sensitizers, constitute novel organic materials possessing high‐performance photorefractivity. Polymeric materials in the photorefractive mesogenic composites play a very important role in terms of improving the resolution, stabilizing the homeotropic alignment, and functionalizing the materials.
