Finely resolved fluorescent images can be generated from a non‐fluorescent precursor polymer film via photolithography. The synthesis of the precursor polymer from methyl methacrylate and the t‐BOC‐protected quinizarin monomer shown in the Figure is reported as is the method for subsequent deprotection of the polymer and the generation of patterned color and fluorescent images.
