Recent discoveries of new radical‐cation salts based on extended tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) systems and TTF dimers have stimulated considerable interest in the synthesis of new π‐electron donors. Construction of κ‐type organic metals is of particular interest because many κ‐type metals exhibit superconductivity. The synthesis of a κ‐type organic metal based on a new tetrathiapentalene (TTP) derivative, CPEO‐TTP, is reported. The structure and electrical properties of several CPEO‐TTP salts are described.
