Monodisperse gold–polypyrrole nanocomposites , consisting of a gold nanocrystal surrounded by a shell of polypyrrole, are shown to be stabilized by diblock copolymer micelles. Annealing thin films of the gold–polypyrrole‐loaded micelles above the glass transition temperature yields compact gold particles encapsulated by polypyrrole in each micelle (see Figure).
