In this paper, status of powder industrial explosives in China is described. On the basis of scientific research of China Institute of Industrial Explosive Materials (China IIEM) non‐TNT or oligo‐TNT Ammonium Nitrate explosive, especially rock expanded Ammonium Nitrate explosive, is emphatically discussed and several points of view about further development of powder industrial explosives in our country are stated.
