The new metabolite agaridiol ( 1 ) was isolated from cultures of Agaricus sp., and its structure was elucidated by mass spectrometric and NMR spectroscopic investigations. It shows moderate anti‐microbial activity against Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633.
