The paper is concerned with the problem of efficient numerical treatment of some series arising in simulation of high‐frequency SH‐wave processes in elastic layers. It is shown that the known techniques, developed to accelerate the slow convergent series, become inefficient when the wave number is very large. A new method is proposed which is efficient just in the high‐frequency range.
