Several proposals to generate a multiparticle entangled states have been made. These proposals are so difficult to implement experimentally that none have been carried through. In this paper a new method of generating a three photon entangled state. The process consists of a pair of spontanously down conversions. One photon from each down conversion is then upconverted to form a third photon entangled with the other two out going photons. We discuss this process for two extreme cases, a monochromatic pump and a delta function pump.
