The ratio C 2 /β, where C and β are constants associated with variable‐range hopping, is determined by requiring a smooth variation of the localization length with density in the transition region from ES hopping to screened Mott hopping. A reduction of the ratio C 2 /β from the single‐particle hopping value is presented as evidence for correlated hopping in two dimensions.
