The tacticity‐induced molecular microstructure was determined by means of 13 C NMR spectroscopy for four distinct poly(propylene) samples. Of these, two polymers are commercial samples of high and middle isotactic content, and two samples were obtained by fractionation with respect to the stereoregularity of the former highly isotactic commercial polymer. The space charge distribution after applying an electric field was studied for every sample by means of the “thermal step”; (TS) method. By comparing the behaviour of the four samples it was demonstrated that both the total space charge accumulation and the type of charges depend strongly on the molecular microstructure.
