Supramolecular hydrogen bonds between dumbbell‐shaped molecules and macrocycles containing Os VI −N coordinate bonds led to spontaneous assembly of rotaxane‐like complexes (see picture). As a result of the reversible nature of the Os VI −N bonds, the ratio of the free species to the rotaxane‐like complex could be precisely controlled in solution by varying the concentrations of the two components.
