“Nanoreactors” of ligands 1 ( n =1, 2) enclose organometallic rhodium, wherein CO and H 2 add to terminal olefins for the production of aldehydes. The environmental advantages of water‐based industrial processes are now extended to poorly water‐soluble alkenes. No loss of activity was noted over a number of catalytic cycles.
