The homologous dendrimers G0 to G3 , which consist of 3, 9, 21, and 45 viologens, behave as electron sponges and exhibit an electrochemically switchable, generation‐dependent, intramolecular charge transfer (CT) complexation (see schematic diagram of G3 ).
