Convenient “instant kits” for preparing receptor‐targeted radiopharmaceuticals may be achievable through the labeling of estradiol with rhenium radionuclides. This method is simplified with the solid‐phase reagent shown schematically. The reagent binds the steroid ligand, establishes the steroid – radioisotope linkage, and releases the labeled product into solution, thus facilitating removal of unlabeled ligand by filtration.
