A practical new strategy for solid‐phase chemistry and combinatorial synthesis has been developed. A collection of resin‐bound 2,2‐dimethylbenzopyran scaffolds have been constructed employing a novel selenium‐based simultaneous cyclization and loading (“cycloloading”) approach (see scheme). Selected scaffolds have been further elaborated to provide small combinatorial libraries of various natural products and designed molecules.
