The shortest circuits in the three‐dimensional network with (12,3) topology of solvated Ni(tpt)(NO 3 ) 2 pass through one another (see picture). This network based upon interlinked double helices occupies a unique position in the set of ( n ,3) nets. tpt=tri‐4‐pyridyl‐1,3,5‐triazine.
