Coordination of (en)Pd II entities (en = ethylenediamine) forces the two pyrazine halves of the 2,2′‐bipyrazine ligands (bpz) of the molecular triangle [{(en)Pt(bpz))} 3 ] 6+ to adopt a cisoid arrangement. The resulting cationic (+12) complex [{(en)Pt(bpz)Pd(en)} 3 ] 12+ (see picture) displays a pronounced affinity for anions and encapsulates simultaneously NO 3 − and PF 6 − ions, which has been confirmed by X‐ray structural analysis.
