Self‐assembly of two C 60 hexakis‐adducts , each bearing one di(4‐pyridyl)methano addend, and two Pt II centers afforded the dinuclear cyclophane 1 , which represents the first example of a new class of supramolecular multifullerene arrays. The X‐ray crystal structure of 1 revealed that the four vertex atoms of the cyclophane—the two Pt II centers and the two quaternary C atoms of the dipyridylmethano groups—form a perfectly planar parallelogram at the cost of substantial angle strain.
