Cyclic radical cations Met‐(S…█ + N) of methionine could play an important role in processes such as long‐range electron transfer across cell membranes and oxidative damage to cells. CIDNP spectroscopy (CIDNP = chemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization) furnishes direct structural proof and allows experimental investigation of the spin‐density distribution in the two‐center three‐electron bonds.
