After two decades of thwarted efforts , the first X‐ray structure analysis of a [Co 2 (CO) 6 ]‐complexed propagyl cation, the BF 4 salt of 1 , has been reported. The carbocationic center is almost ideally sp 2 ‐hydbridized, while the metal clusters exhibit substantial structural inequivalency.
