The same novel, orientationally disordered lead complex , [Pb 2 (OH)(H 2 O) 3 ] 2 [Al 3 Si 3 O 12 ] 2 , was obtained by ion exchange of various sodium hydro sodalites with aqueous Pb(NO 3 ) 2 solutions, whichever sodalite reactant was used. A model of the structure was developed, as illustrated.
