Novel chiral dendritic catalysts carrying a TADDOL unit in their centers have been synthesized and fully characterized ( 1 ). The titanates of the dendritic TADDOLs, bearing either achiral or chiral branches, catalyzed the addition of Et 2 Zn to PhCHO with excellent selectivities that are comparable with those of catalysis by simple Ti TADDOLates.
