Deeply colored, air‐stable molecular crystals , [Pd 6 Cl 12 ]⋅1.5 (naphthalene), [Pd 6 Cl 12 ]⋅(1‐methylanthracene), and [Pd 6 Cl 12 ]⋅0.5 (1,2:5,6‐dibenzanthracene)⋅0.5 (benzene) (shown here) consisting of planar polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) molecules and cubic clusters of [Pd 6 Cl 12 ] are readily formed from solutions of bis(benzonitrile)palladium( II ) dichloride and the approriate PAH in benzene.
